
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jameson; September 2, 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. Her career began in Mexico, where she starred in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which earned her an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were only some of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal of Frida the painter in Frida (2002) and Frida (2002), which she also directed, resulted in Hayek the first Mexican actress to win the Academy Award [6]. This also earned her the Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on producing while starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
