Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson is a two-time Olivier Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner. She also made her Broadway debut in Nick Payne's Constellations in the role of Jake Gyllenhaal. The most famous role she has played is Alison Lockhart, in Showtime's "The Affair" and for which she received an Golden Globe Award. Film credits include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House as well as Suite FranASSaise Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger as well as Anna Karenina. The actress won Olivier Awards for Best Actress for Anna Christie opposite Jude Law and Best Supporting actor to A Streetcar Named Desire opposite Rachel Weisz, both at the Donmar Warehouse. In the film Hedda gabler the actress was named an Best Actress Olivier Award nominee. On television, Wilson starred in the highly praised BBC series "Luther," which was awarded eight Emmy Awards. The actress received BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for Best Leading Actress in"Jane" from the BBC mini-series "Jane Eyre." In 2007, her London first stage appearance was in Maxim Gorky's Philistines. The year 2008 was the year she was in the role of Ingmar on the stage in Through a Glass Darkly at the Almeida Theatre.
