Niykee's personal highlights include getting selected to be part of Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, and writing songs in spite of the chaos in the last couple of years. As a producer magnet, Niykee constantly sifts through the numerous beats sent to her. She has found that the majority of them spark new song ideas. She states that she can discern if a beat is a good one in less than 5 seconds. Then, a new song may pop up in her head. When I am playing my guitar in my front yard I begin writing, and words flow. A majority often, I'm done in about 30 minutes. Niykee's memories of pain provide endless sources of inspiration. "Even even if I'm not writing about my own life in the open it is the loss of my sister as well as my difficult childhood is incorporated into my music," she says. The pain of losing my sister as well as my childhood influences the songs that I create. It's important to me to have a deep purpose to what I perform.
