Summer glau

Her popularity was partly due to the fact she had starred in Whedon's new TV show, Firefly. The character of Summer Glau, River Tam, was one of the most complex characters that Glau handled with ease. Tam, as the character from the film was known, was subjected to research conducted by the government to make her the ideal assassin. Tam's emotional control was taken away as a direct result. Glau was able to show her fighting abilities as well as her acting abilities on Firefly. The fact that she was being trained to be an assassin allowed Glau to show off her athletic skills. Summer Glau, a trained classical ballerina. She also has the study of flamenco and tango however it was her broken toe which ended her dance career. Firefly was on only for the duration of one episode, but enjoyed a huge fan base. Whedon was so enthralled by the show that he was able to return to the show a few years later. Summer Glau kept on getting her fair share of work. Her appearances on TV shows such as Cold Case or CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
